Tigers Advance to Championship Match! The Tigers boys soccer team is headed to the championship after defeating the Magnolia Heights Rattlers 2–0 in an exciting semi-final matchup. The game remained scoreless until the final minute of the first half when 8th grader Dean C. broke through with an incredible effort. After his first shot hit the right upright and bounced back toward him, Dean followed up with a second attempt and found the back of the net to give the Tigers a 1–0 lead.
In the second half, 8th grader Angel Miguel added another goal to extend the lead to 2–0. The Tigers defense stood strong throughout the match, shutting down multiple rallies from Magnolia Heights. Defenders Noal L. (7th grade), Robert C. (8th grade), Joshua L. (8th grade), and Julian J. (7th grade) anchored a solid defensive line to secure the shutout victory.
The Tigers will now face the Rodriguez PREP Eagles in tonight’s city championship match at Arroyo Valley High School starting at 7:00 PM. Come out and support our Tigers!
